1About Lumen
Lumen is a discovery site for series and films. It helps you browse a catalogue, read about titles, watch official trailers and keep a personal list. Lumen is provided for your personal, non-commercial use.
Lumen is not a streaming or download service. The “Watch Now” and “Download” options only provide a file where an authorised file is available for that title; otherwise they let you know the file isn’t available and offer the official trailer instead.
2Content and intellectual property
All titles, posters, artwork, trailers, logos and descriptions of shows and films remain the property of their respective owners, including Netflix and the studios and creators involved. They appear on Lumen only to identify the titles and help you discover them.
Trailers are embedded from official YouTube channels and remain subject to the YouTube Terms of Service. Posters and images are loaded from their original sources.
Lumen is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Netflix or any studio. The Lumen name, logo, design and code belong to Lumen.
3Acceptable use
When using Lumen, you agree not to:
- copy, scrape or harvest content or data from the site or its API in bulk, or send automated requests that place an unreasonable load on our servers;
- attempt to break, probe or bypass the site’s security, or interfere with other people’s use of it;
- use Lumen to infringe copyright or any other rights, or to distribute content you don’t have permission to share;
- use the site for any unlawful, harmful or misleading purpose, or present yourself as Lumen or as connected with it.
We may restrict access for anyone who breaks these rules.
4My List
My List is stored in a cookie on your device, so it’s only available in the browser where you created it. Clearing your cookies or switching devices will empty it. We can’t recover a list that has been deleted.
5Accuracy of information
We work to keep title details — such as release years, season counts, ratings and descriptions — accurate and current, but catalogues change and we can’t guarantee every detail is complete or up to date. Availability of any title on Netflix or other platforms may differ by region and time.
6Third-party services and links
Lumen includes content and links from third parties such as YouTube, TVmaze and Wikimedia. We don’t control those services and aren’t responsible for their content, availability or practices. Your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
7Copyright concerns
We respect the rights of creators. If you own content that appears on Lumen and would like it changed or removed, email us at contact@watchonlumen.com with:
- the title or page concerned and the specific material;
- proof that you own the rights or are authorised to act for the owner;
- your contact details.
We will review the request promptly and remove material where appropriate.
8Disclaimer
Lumen is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or uninterrupted availability. We may change, pause or discontinue any part of the site at any time.
9Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lumen and the people behind it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of — or inability to use — the site or any third-party content linked from it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If you keep using Lumen after an update, you accept the revised terms.
11Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the country where Lumen is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Where the law gives you the right to bring a claim in your own country, that right is not affected.
